Saving Money Without Looking Cheap
Whether you’re planning your wedding yourself over your clearwire internet connection or have paid a planner an arm and a leg to make your big day perfect, here are a few novel ideas for saving money without looking cheap:
Forget Favors: That’s right, just forget them! Favors have become common among big weddings but no one will miss them and they’re usually just thrown away, anyway. You’ll save at least a couple hundred dollars.
Ditch the Flowers: It may seem totally nontraditional but why not go with something more modern and inexpensive for your centerpieces like giant (rented) vases filled with water and floating candles? It’s something different and flowers are pricey so it’s a great way to cut some really big costs.
Postcard Invitations: Classy, handmade invitations can cost upwards of 5 each and if you can’t imagine spending hundreds just on the invites consider doing postcards instead. They can be printed for less than 1 each and are less cumbersome and easier to post on the fridge than typical card-stock invites.
